Operations

The Operations Division of the Trumann Police Department is a dynamic and integral part of our law enforcement efforts. This division oversees five specialized units, each dedicated to enhancing public safety and departmental efficiency.

Criminal Investigation Division (CID)

The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for investigating crimes, gathering evidence, and ensuring justice for victims. Det. Jordon Nelson leads this division with expertise in complex case management and investigative procedures.

Training Division

Training Officer: CPL Tommy Cole

The Training Division focuses on the professional development and continuous education of officers. CPL Cole ensures that all personnel are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively and safely.

Reserve Unit

Commander: Deputy Chief Lenny Becker

The Reserve Unit supplements the department with trained volunteer officers who assist in various operations. Deputy Chief Becker oversees this unit, coordinating support for community events and operational needs.

Dispatch Division

Communications Director: Sgt. Denise Whitman

The Dispatch Division is the communication hub for the department. Under Sgt. Whitman’s leadership, dispatchers ensure prompt and effective communication between officers and the community.

Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team

The SWAT Team is a specialized unit trained for high-risk operations, including hostage situations and armed threats.  The team is lead by Lt. Dye. 

Each division within the Operations Division plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, and well-being of the Trumann community.
