The Trumann Police Department Training Division is a cornerstone of the department's commitment to professional excellence and community safety. Tasked with the continuous development of its personnel, the division ensures that all officers - full-time sworn staff, part-time, and reserve officers - are prepared for the complexities of modern law enforcement. Utilizing a dedicated training facility and on-site firing range, the division provides a centralized hub for tactical drills, firearms proficiency, and classroom-based instruction. This infrastructure allows the department to maintain high standards of readiness while staying current with Arkansas state mandates and evolving public safety techniques.
Beyond basic compliance, the Training Division emphasizes a philosophy of mentorship and leadership, often encapsulated by the motto "Learn One, Do One, and Teach One." This approach fosters a culture where experienced, certified instructors pass down specialized knowledge in areas such as narcotics tracking, criminal investigations, and community-oriented policing. The Training Division ensures that every officer is equipped with the skills and ethical grounding necessary to protect and served the citizens of Trumann with integrity.
The Training Division also ensures that all civilian employees are properly trained and remain current on all trainings required by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy.
